Australia

On Tuesday 10th January a contingent from 3 law firms from Gansu Province, China, arrived in Brisbane where Simon Harrison organised for the firm to host a private meet & greet. Jamie McPherson, Roland O'Regan and Lex Orange of Kaden Boriss were also in attendance to meet with 25 of the delegates. The intention of the meeting was for the delegates to learn about Kaden Boriss' operations, legal services, and the international division roles and services. The group came loaded with plenty of questions on a wide range of topics. The questions ranged from how the firm is managed and what areas we practice, to pro bono work and what roles we play in charitable endeavours. The groups' interest seemed to focus particularly on litigation and mining/resource opportunities, for whom they have interested clients within Australia. These discussions will be followed up in the next few weeks as our new Chinese friends return to Gansu: amongst areas of future discussions are future firm cooperation's and cross client referrals.
