This year we have seen the continued growth with the Safety Practice Group, receiving instructions on over 25 workplace health and safety incidents, including several high profile cases.

Our involvement with various tragic fatalities, serves as a daily reminder to us of the importance of a safety culture and as a firm we are proud of the role we play in contributing to the improvement of safety both in workplaces and more generally. The recent tragedies also reminds us that although it is important to be a knowledgeable technical lawyer across all the detail of the safety legislation, equally important is taking a holistic view, keeping a cool head in a crisis, not forgetting the important human impact of any crisis, and managing not only legal but also importantly for clients reputation and other risks.

Looking forward to 2017 we will be working together with our clients on the continual review, assessment and development of procedures building on the advanced safety cultures already developed.
