The SEC requested comments on a FINRA proposal that would amend various FINRA rules to conform to an SEC-proposed amendment to Exchange Act Rule 15c6-1(a). The SEC amendment would shorten the standard settlement cycle for most broker-dealer transactions from T+3 to T+2. The request for comments was published in the Federal Register. Comments on the FINRA proposal must be submitted by January 18, 2017.
