The U.S. Senate confirmed Kathy Kraninger as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ("CFPB"). Ms. Kraninger succeeds CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney.

Ms. Kraninger served as the Associate Director for General Government at the Office of Management and Budget. Ms. Kraninger served previously as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy at the Department of Homeland Security.
