The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) recently published their third annual benchmarking study which is sponsored by Alliott Group's Global Mobility Services Group ('Alliott Group/Global Mobility'), a key tax, legal and immigration services vendor to those responsible for managing their company's expatriate populations.
The '2018 Managing the Global Mobility Function' report collates opinions from some 168 international heads of mobility programmes and HR functions spanning every world region and includes contributions from some of the largest and most recognised companies such as American Express, Ford Motor Company, Johnson & Johnson, Tesco and Vodaphone.
The benchmarking study reveals the biggest headaches facing Global Mobility professionals in 2018, specifically immigration, Brexit, GDPR and tax. It also shares the candid views of respondents on how they are having to respond in a global environment that is perceived generally as being more challenging and protectionist.
