Panama has strengthened its technological platform to exchange timely and effective information among national authorities for the identification and freezing of assets, values and assets of natural and legal persons.
This was expressed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Security, Aarón Pérez, during the inauguration of the "Course on international law applicable to cyber operations", which takes place between November 26 and 30 in the city of Panama, under the auspices of of the Organization of American States (OAS), the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Panamanian Government.
This workshop will allow updating the legal aspects of cyberspace and the prevention of cyber crimes that are recorded in the Americas.
He added that a few days ago the first Security and Emergency Center (C2) was inaugurated in the province of Colón, where 291 video surveillance towers and high resolution cameras were installed in 92 places, 11 panic buttons, 5 road arches with readers of plates, video analysis and facial recognition.
The workshop was also attended by the deputy ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Panama, Juriaan Middelholf, the administrator of the AIG, Irving Halman and international exhibitors.
In this international forum is planned to develop more than 20 papers on cyber operations, with the assistance of international representatives, the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of International Relations and Public Ministry.
