Curwoods is delighted to announce the promotion of Matt McDonald to Partner and Vanessa Jason to Senior Associate.
Matt has over 15 years experience in insurance law with a focus on product and public liability, construction risks, professional negligence and occupational health & safety law.
Matt joined Curwoods in 2009 after 8 years as a partner at McCulloch & Buggy Lawyers. He is a member of the Injury Compensation Committee of the Law Society of NSW, representing the interests of defendants.
Vanessa joined the Curwoods CTP team in February 2008. Prior to that, she worked at other defendant insurance firms including Hunt & Hunt and Moray & Agnew, gaining experience in managing a busy motor vehicle accident practice with particular experience in managing catastrophic claims.
New Senior Appointments
Curwoods keeps growing! We welcome our new starters Craig Hyde, Special Counsel, and Shannon Say, Senior Associate.
Craig, previously at DLA Phillips Fox, joins the Professional Indemnity and Construction team at Curwoods. He has almost 20 years litigation experience as a barrister and solicitor in Australia, New Zealand and England.
Over the last 10 years, he has focussed on insurance advice and litigation for domestic and overseas insurers in relation to a wide range of claims but with a particular focus on claims in the rural, construction and engineering sectors.
Shannon joined Curwoods as a Senior Associate in July 2010 having previously worked at Minter Ellison. She has specialised in the area of defendant insurance litigation since 2002.
Shannon has advised corporate insureds as well as local and overseas insurers with respect to public and products liability, professional indemnity, property damage and medical malpractice claims. Shannon also advises on policy interpretation issues.
