Serbia's national minimum wage will increase by 6.6% in 2021. The new minimum wage of RSD 183.93 per hour replaces the 2020 minimum wage level of RSD 172.54 net per hour.

Who is Affected?

The change applies to all locally hired foreign workers with new, current, and pending applications.

What Should Employers and Applicants Know?

The employee's monthly salary is subject to fluctuate based on the number of working hours per month. In 2021, for example, January had 184 working hours, while there are 160 working hours in February. 

Benefits and allowances cannot be included in the employee's minimum wage calculations.
