2020-01-08 – Canada immigration authorities have issued 3,400 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the first Express Entry draw of 2020.
The January 8 draw saw the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score rise by four points to 473 when compared to the previous draw.
The first draw of 2020 comes after Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 85,300 candidates in 2019.
Canada's high-skilled immigration admission target for 2020 is 85,800, up from 81,400 in 2019.
IRCC broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.
