Canada has equalled the largest Express Entry draw of all time for a second consecutive draw, issuing Invitations to Apply to 4,500 candidates.

The November 5 draw required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 478 points, seven points higher than the previous all-program draw.

This was the first draw since Canada's federal government published a new plan that will see immigration increase to more than 400,000 newcomers a year from 2021. Ottawa believes immigration can spur Canada's economic recovery after the coronavirus crisis.
