May 18, 2017 – Saskatchewan immigration's popular Canada Express Entry category opened again on Thursday, May 18, after a technical glitch meant 600 application places were not filled when it opened two days earlier.

The International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry stream is currently accepting 462 applications, according to www.saskatchewan.ca.

As spokesperson for the office of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) clarified the issue.

"It is the same intake, but we were having an issue with it and had to close it temporarily," the spokesperson said.

The category is aimed at skilled workers wishing to live and work in Saskatchewan, have a profile in the Canada Express Entry Pool and meet specific criteria.

Candidates from outside Canada, or with legal status in Canada, qualify for this Saskatchewan immigration category, provided they are not a refugee claimant.
