Today the House of Representatives passed a short-term Continuing Resolution (H.R. 2028). Upon enactment, the CR will extend the EB-5 Regional Center Program until April 28, 2017.  The U.S. Senate is also expected to pass the bill, which will tee up any substantive EB-5 legislative reforms for the Trump Administration and the 115th U.S. Congress.

Despite rumblings last week of a massive overhaul that many expected would pass, the terms of the EB-5 program remain unchanged.  We will continue to monitor all EB-5 related legislative developments.

12/9/2016 UPDATE: The Senate passed the CR and President Obama has signed it into law. The EB-5 Regional Center Program is now extended until April 28, 2017.
