On September 25, 2015, the Department of State released a revised Visa Bulletin for October, which was previously published on September 9, 2015. (Note: There is already pending litigation and government negotiations to restore the original Oct. Bulletin dates but no agreement has been reached). As a result, the following visa categories now have an updated Filing Date (individuals whose priority dates are earlier than the Filing Date may file for adjustment, or the "green card" application):

  • Employment-Based Second, China – New filing date of 1/1/2013 (retrogressed 1 year 4 months since the 9/9 Bulletin)
  • Employment-Based Second, India – New filing date of 7/1/2009 (retrogressed 2 years since the 9/9 Bulletin)
  • Employment-Based Third, Philippines – New filing date of 1/1/2010 (retrogressed 5 years since the 9/9 Bulletin)
  • Family-Based First, Mexico – New filing date of 4/1/1995 (retrogressed 3 months since the 9/9 Bulletin)
  • Family-Based Third, Mexico – New filing date of 5/1/1995 (retrogressed 1 year 5 months since the 9/9 Bulletin)
