As we previously covered, the "traditional" SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract expired on December 1, 2022, and the "new" SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract took effect as of January 1, 2023 (see our previous article covering this transition here).
As a part of the transition from the "traditional" to the "new" Commercials Contract, effective April 1, 2023, the Low Budget Digital Waiver is limited to Commercials made for Traditional Digital only, and extended through December 31, 2023. It's possible that SAG-AFTRA and the JPC may have further updates as to the applicability and extension of the Low Budget Digital Waiver, but as of now it's limited to Commercials made for Traditional Digital only and extended until the end of this year.
