Reg leads Moray & Agnew’s Workplace Relations team in Newcastle, having joined the firm from Hunt & Hunt in 2006. He specialises in advising public sector agencies and private companies on employment and workplace relations issues.

In addition to representing Moray & Agnew as a sole provider of employment law services to Gosford City Council, Reg’s public sector clients include Rail Infrastructure Corporation, the NSW Department of Education and Training and Hunter New England Area Health Service.

Reg has over 17 years’ experience advising and representing clients in unlawful dismissal claims in federal and state jurisdictions and in discrimination claims in the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission.

He is a highly experienced advocate, having successfully represented clients before a range of state and federal courts and tribunals including the Supreme Court, District Court, Workers Compensation Commission and the Australian and NSW Industrial Relations Commissions.

In addition to providing advice and representation in litigated matters, Reg drafts a wide range of employment contracts and internal staff policies for government entities, including workplace drug and alcohol policies. Reg has drafted complex executive contracts and employment agreements on behalf of local councils. These contracts and agreements represent an amalgam of statutory conditions, covered under the Local Government Act 1993, and common law provisions.

Reg conducts regular training seminars on topical issues for his workplace relations clients and has written many papers on emerging issues in this field.
