On December 16, 2016, The Ministry of Institutional Transparency and fight against corruption (MITFC) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (NCE) signed a Public-Private Alliance to materialize a strategic union through which national public policies on anti-corruption and transparency will be incorporated into the private practices of Bolivian companies.

The objective of the alliance is strengthening transparency, ethics and integrity in the private realm and private companies' practices in Bolivia through the development of protocols and policies between the private and public sectors.

The Alliance was signed within the Global Compact of the United Nations, which aims to achieve sustainable development goals for companies around the globe. The Global Compact's ten principles require companies to operate in ways that meet fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. The tenth principle of the Global Compact concerns corruption and provides that businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. The NCE represents the Technical Secretariat for the Global Compact in Bolivia and is responsible to work on the implementation of the ten principles of the Compact.

The Public-Private Alliance aims to be strategic and sustainable, applying permanent dialogue.
