Paraguay's electric utility, Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE), announced its project for construction, operation and maintenance of a 14 MW hydroelectric power plant to be located on the Ypané river, in Concepción.

According to official estimates, it will require an investment of some USD 45 million, and the floodable area will be a maximum of 13 square kilometers.

The awardee will handle evaluation of current project feasibility, as well as construction, maintenance and management of the dam. A public tender will be called and the awardee will have the right to operate the plant for 30 years.
