SEC Director of the Division of Corporation Finance Keith Higgins will leave the SEC in early January.

Under Mr. Higgins' leadership, the Division of Corporate Finance implemented a number of significant new rules under the Dodd-Frank Act, the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (" JOBS Act") and the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (" FAST Act"). He oversaw the Division's program to review the securities filings of thousands of issuers each year with the intent to (i) facilitate capital formation and (ii) ensure that investors receive "full and fair disclosure" about public companies. He also oversaw the SEC's Disclosure Effectiveness Project.

Upon Mr. Higgins' departure, Shelley Parratt will become the acting Director of the Division of Corporate Finance. Ms. Parratt has served previously as acting Director and is currently the Deputy Director, a role in which she has served since 2003.
