Managing Partner Ron Shechtman recently penned an article for Mid-Market Report on the advantages that midsize firms have over BigLaw in recruiting and retaining top talent. Shechtman notes that "lawyers are finding that midsize firms offer a work experience and potential for promotion that better aligns with their short- and long-term interests."

Shechtman, a pioneer in advocating for the benefits of midsize firms, goes on to note that "he has watched his firm enjoy success in hiring associates and partners away from those (BigLaw) firms. And I believe that with a proper understanding of the forces at play, the moment is right for midsize law firms to capitalize on this trend and establish themselves as a destination of choice for legal talent in a way they never have before."
