The Family First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which includes the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act, takes effect on April 1, 2020 and applies to leave taken through December 31, 2020. Private sector employers that employ fewer than 500 employees (and government employers) must comply with the provisions of the FFCRA, and must post the Department of Labor FFCRA Notice in a conspicuous place by April 1, 2020: https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/WHD/posters/FFCRA_Poster_WH1422_Non-Federal.pdf Employers may also satisfy the posting requirement by emailing or direct mailing the notice to employees, or posting the notice on an employee information website.
