Mr. Vartanian draws in this interview upon his 34 years of experience, which includes his years as General Counsel of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (predecessor of the Office of Thrift Supervision and the Federal Housing Finance Agency) and the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (later merged into the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation), where he also was responsible for legal issues affecting the Federal Home Loan Bank System and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation ("Freddie Mac"), and as Special Assistant to the Chief Counsel and Senior Trial Litigator at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
