So you've camped all night outside the Apple store and you've been handed a nice, shiny new iPhone. Congratulations.

But hang on. At a mere 4 inches the screen is looking small compared to its Android competitors. It comes with yet another new charger rendering all your other ones obsolete unless you buy an adaptor. The maps don't work properly (what happened to "It Just Works"?). And it doesn't have NFC functionality.

Even before today's launch, Samsung went on the attack claiming The Next Big Thing is Already Here, that is, their Galaxy SIII. But then Sammie just lost their patent battle with Apple in the US, so their response was predictable.

Is Samsung the one to watch now? Or is Apple back on form? There's no doubt the iPhone5 will sell and sell well.
