Further to our e-update of 17 November - PFI Reform Announced For England & Wales, the Treasury has published the Call for Evidence on the Reform of the Private Finance Initiative.

Although the document suggests areas of focus, the call is for evidence and views not only on those areas but also on any other issues which respondents consider to be relevant and important in the context of proposed reform. For example, the Treasury wishes to hear views on other possible forms of delivery model.

The Treasury has declared a particular interest in the views of those "with an active role in the delivery and operation of public facilities, from those with an interest in investing in these projects, as well as from across the public sector, academics, think tanks, employees and wider stakeholders".

The deadline for responses is Friday 10 February 2012.

The Call for Evidence, response template, and contact and submission details can be found here.
