Last week the Environment Agency issued a number of new CRC documents, including a User Guide and Short Guidance Notes.
These publications clarify the final details of the Scheme which comes into effect in April this year, following the results of the government consultation in October 2009.
For landlords and tenants it is worth noting that the User Guide specifically reiterates that landlords cannot transfer the responsibility for CRC to their tenants.
