As of 7 March 2017, Guidelines explaining the new Block Exemption Communiqué No. 2017/3 on Vertical Agreements in Motor Vehicle Sector are available on the website of the Turkish Competition Authority. One of the most significant changes under the new Block Exemption Communiqué (adopted in February 2017) is the determination of a single (30%) market share threshold system for exclusivity and quantitative selective distribution systems. There is a two year transition period (to make necessary amendments) for the agreements which already benefit from the block exemption but cannot fulfill conditions under the new Communiqué No. 2017/3.
