The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RIMA) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC)  in order to develop and popularize arbitration in Thailand and Russia.

THAC is an institution that provides alternative dispute resolution services, comprising arbitration and mediation, for cross-border disputes. It is established subject to the Act of Arbitration Center B.E. 2550 (2007) and was first founded and commenced its operation in 2015, with an aim to promote and strengthen the alternative dispute resolution system and services in Thailand.

Under the MOU the two institutions agreed to cooperate in the development and popularization of arbitration as a preferred method for resolving international disputes, increasing the alternative dispute resolution awareness. THAC and RIMA will seek to co-organize conferences, seminars, workshops, training programmes or other events on international arbitration in Thailand and Russia.

The MOU was signed by Mr Pasit Asawawattanaporn, Managing Director of THAC, and Ms Yulia Mullina, General Director of RIMA.
