CHICAGO – Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has elected Joseph L. Fogel as its new Co-Managing Partner, effective today.
As Co-Managing Partner along with William E. Russell, Mr. Fogel is responsible for development and execution of the firm's overall growth strategy and its various industry initiatives.

Mr. Fogel joined Freeborn in 1994. He is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group and serves as Co-Leader of the Complex Litigation Group. He has extensive experience litigating a multitude of complex business and commercial disputes in state and federal courts and arbitral forums around the country.
Prior to joining Freeborn, Mr. Fogel was associated with the firms Jenner & Block and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He received his J.D. (with honors) from DePaul University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego.
