It was an evening to remember for Chapman Tripp and its clients at last night's 2018 New Zealand Law Awards.

In addition to winning the Large Law Firm of the Year award, the firm also scooped Deal Team (> 100 lawyers), New Zealand Deal, International Deal, Capital Markets Deal, M&A Deal, and Mid-Market Deal of the Year awards.

Chapman Tripp Hoa Rangapū Whakarae (Chief Executive Partner) Nick Wells said, "The awards reinforce the value of the results we achieve for our clients and the pride that everyone in the firm takes in their work.

"It is nice to finish the year with the acknowledgement of our colleagues. We are honoured to have won the Large Law Firm of the Year Award, which is in addition to our 2018 awards for Most Innovative National Law Firm at the IFLR Asia Awards, and New Zealand Law Firm at the Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards," adds Wells.

Chapman Tripp would like to extend congratulations to all of last night's winners and finalists, particularly to Emily Acland (Vocus Group) who won Young In-house Lawyer of the Year, ANZ New Zealand who won Financial Services In-house Team of the Year, the Wellington City Council Legal Team who won In-house Team of the Year, and Andrew Cordner (Fonterra Co-Operative Group Limited) who took home In-house Lawyer of the Year.

The New Zealand Law Awards ceremony was hosted at The Cordis yesterday. A full list of the winners can be viewed here.
