Team members from Barry.Nilsson. Lawyers got stuck in the mud on Sunday 4 March to help clean up Brisbane.
Running for more than 20 years, 'Clean Up Australia Day' has collected some 200,000 tonnes of rubbish or 4.7 million household wheelie bins.
The Barry.Nilsson. volunteers chose to help out around our local area by assisting clean up efforts at the City Botanic Gardens.
We were assigned an area along the Brisbane River which made for some very muddy travels.
Our volunteers almost didn't make it back to work the following day thanks to some very muddy banks which claimed numerous pairs of gum boots and their owners.
Whilst our team did collect their share of rubbish, they were pleasantly surprised at the minimal amount they did find.
This activity was another initiative of the firm's Green Committee which is dedicated to overcoming the impact that our day-to-day lives have on the environment.
