Four team members from Barry.Nilsson. Lawyers pounded the pavement on Sunday 30 October to raise much needed funds for the RSPCA's new Animal Care Campus.
The Great Migration walk involved a 17km walk from the RSPCA's current location in Fairfield to the new Animal Care Campus at Wacol.
The Barry.Nilsson. team, Elsbeth Reynolds, Tiegen Sutton, Ilana Hayne and Chelsea Rasmussen, raised in excess of $3,400 making them one of the top fundraising teams.
Team member Ilana Hayne has already been involved with the RSPCA as a volunteer at the Fairfield shelter and is well aware of the necessity for the new home at Wacol.
"I volunteered every Saturday in the vet surgery at Fairfield for about 2 years and all the people that work and/or volunteer their time are wonderful and do the best they can with what they have."
All the Great Migration team members are animal lovers and appreciative of the fantastic work the RSPCA does in the community.
"These sorts of events are an excellent way for Barry.Nilsson. to show our appreciation of the hard work charities do every day" said Managing Partner, Don Leembruggen.
"Our team enjoys supporting charity events and this one is no exception. We're very proud of their efforts."
After more than 80 years, the team at the RSPCA is looking forward to their new home which is expected to help 350,000 people, care for 50,000 animals and receive 100,000 visitors each year.
