Equity is pleased to announce the recruitment of Ryan Cregeen as an additional manager within its corporate administration business. Ryan is a Chartered Accountant, having trained and qualified with Deloitte's in London. Ryan joined Reuters Plc and then UBS, before spending eight years in the commercial real estate sector, latterly as Finance Director for Security Capital European Realty, a billion dollar real estate fund based in London. Ryan, who was educated at King Williams College before obtaining a First Class Honours Degree from St Andrews University, relocated back to the Isle of Man with his family in January 2007 and has since been acting as a consultant to Luxembourg based Mercuria Services S.A. He remarked that "Having worked in the City for the majority of my career it was an appropriate time to come back to the Island, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Equity, and to continue to be involved in commercial real estate through Equity's role as a leading provider of administration services to a range of property related structures."

Oliver Webster, Director of Operations at Equity, commented: "We are very pleased that Ryan has decided to join Equity. His appointment signifies our continued commitment to providing the highest level of specialist corporate administration services to our clients, some of which include the world's largest and best known financial and commercial institutions. Ryan's professional qualification, and practical experience in the real estate industry, will complement the existing expertise within the senior management team at Equity, at a time when we are seeing increased levels of interest in the Island as a competitive and well regulated international jurisdiction in which to establish complex structures involving commercial real estate. Our ability to work closely with the lawyers in the corporate department of Cains and other Isle of Man law firms, coupled with a facilitative legal and tax environment, supported by Treasury in the form of a responsive Companies Registry (for establishing structures), and Customs and Excise (for VAT registration purposes), means that we, and other like minded local corporate service provider businesses, have a very strong offering for institutional investors who currently see value in the commercial property market".
