Stuart Slotnick was appointed as Chair of the century-old New York City Bar Association Judiciary Committee. The committee is responsible for evaluating candidates for election, appointment, reelection, reappointment, designation and certification to justice administration offices in New York State courts. The Judiciary Committee consists of 50 lawyers who interview and vet every judicial candidate for all state and federal courts based in New York City as well as candidates for District Attorney in the five boroughs and nominees for U.S. Attorney for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Under his leadership, he ensures that judicial candidates and judges meet defined standards of professional competence and integrity.
