On 12 January 2026, Comitis Capital announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Threema. Threema, headquartered in Switzerland, is a leading provider of secure, privacy-focused communication solutions, offering a scalable architecture for both cloud and on-premise deployments. Its privacy-by-design approach combines zero-knowledge architecture, open-source software, Swiss data sovereignty, and encryption verified by global cybersecurity experts. The transaction is expected to close in January 2026.
