SSEK Law Firm partner Nico A. P. Mooduto recently attended the 2025 International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Meeting in Paris.

The annual forum brought together more than 650 delegates from around the world, including representatives from law firms, arbitral institutions, companies, and academia, to discuss developments and best practices in international arbitration and dispute resolution.

This year's discussions focused on key topics such as proposed updates to the ICC Rules of Arbitration and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into arbitration processes. Delegates explored how AI can enhance efficiency, transparency, and consistency in arbitration, and what this means for the future of dispute resolution under the ICC framework.

Nico was joined by two other Indonesian delegates in participating in general discussions around these topics - Wincen Santoso, a partner at Santoso, Martinus & Muliawan Advocates, and Rando Purba, a partner at Maramis, Purba, Santi & Singara Law Firm. Together, they contributed insights on how AI integration could improve not only the quality and relevance of ICC-administered arbitrations but also reinforce the institution's global leadership in dispute resolution.

The ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR is a leading think tank for international dispute resolution. It drafts and revises ICC's arbitration and ADR rules, produces reports and guidelines, and provides a forum for practitioners to share ideas and influence global arbitration policy.

Indonesia's participation in the Commission reflects the country's growing engagement with international arbitration and its efforts to support a predictable, investor-friendly legal environment.
