Colin Zick spoke with Part B news about how provider practices can move forward after the Change Healthcare hack, now that Change Healthcare has started sending breach notifications to covered entities.
"What have we learned and what should we be doing going forward?" he asked. "The answer will be highly individualized, and any organization should be taking this opportunity to look at their arrangements with third parties who touch PHI [protected health information] and ask, what does the contract say? And what are the provisions in particular for [eventualities] such as what happened with Change Healthcare — how would that play out?"
