Gatehouse Chambers is delighted to announce that Charles Bagot KC and David Pliener KC have been elected as its new Joint Heads of Chambers.
David Pliener KC takes the baton from Brie Stevens-Hoare KC who served as Joint Head of Chambers for 5 years; first alongside PJ Kirby KC as co-head, and more recently with Charles Bagot KC.
Handing over the baton to David Pliener at the recent Gatehouse Chambers AGM, Brie said that it had been a privilege to be Head of Chambers. She expressed how much she loves chambers for its vibrant diversity of people with a shared vision of achieving each person's definition of success through team work and lifting each other up. She expressed thanks for colleagues' trust, patience, honesty and support for her in the role.
Leading the thanks and tributes, Charles Bagot said that it has been a personal pleasure and privilege to learn from and partner with Brie as Joint Heads. She has unbelievable stamina and commitment to chambers and its people, and has a real vision for the future.
Brie will continue her work as a leading silk in our Property and Private Client Teams.
David Pliener KC remarked: "I genuinely consider it to be a privilege to have this opportunity to be Gatehouse Chambers' joint Head of Chambers alongside Charles Bagot, and I do so in large part in recognition of the time and dedication of previous Heads, including Brie, and of which I was the beneficiary."
