Foley Hoag LLP has announced that Alison Bauer has been named Co-Partner in Charge of the firm’s New York office. In this role Bauer will help oversee daily operation of that office and strategic initiatives with current Co-Partner in Charge Natasha Reed, in addition to pursuing her practice specialty.
In particular, Bauer will help continue to grow the firm’s footprint in New York, which has increased significantly in recent years. She will also champion and support the office’s lawyers and business services professionals and help lead initiatives to engage with the community. The firm’s New York office provides full legal services in the firm’s key areas of focus such as clean energy, healthcare, disputes, technology, IP, life sciences, consumer and retail, and cannabis.
Bauer is a Co-Chair of Foley Hoag's Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice, where she focuses on U.S. and international business reorganizations, creditors’ rights, distressed acquisitions and financing in court proceedings and out-of-court workouts. She represents debtors and creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 15 cases. Bauer also regularly advises pension funds, private equity groups and other financial services institutions in distressed investments across a variety of industries.
