This achievement recognises that Cooper Grace Ward is actively committed to inclusion and is above the Australian workforce average in DCA's Inclusion@Work Index.
This index measures diversity and inclusion in the workforce, derived from a nationally representative survey of 3,000 Australian workers, including Cooper Grace Ward team members.
Cooper Grace Ward has appeared in the Inclusion@Work Index since 2017 and is the only law firm in Australia to have retained continuous Inclusive Employer recognition during that period.
Responding to the announcement, Cooper Grace Ward's managing partner, Charles Sweeney, said the firm has maintained a long-term focus on its workplace culture and is pleased to receive this recognition of its continued efforts to create a diverse, welcoming and inclusive working environment.
'Cooper Grace Ward has an ever-growing range of inclusion initiatives that are continuously updated with input from our diversity committee, our wellness committee, our LGBTIQ+ support group and our Reconciliation working group.
'Participating in the DCA Inclusive Employer Index allows us to gain direct feedback from our team, as well as benchmarking our performance against other Australian businesses.
'We are pleased that this year's recognition again places Cooper Grace Ward in the company of some of the most outstanding organisations in Australia and we congratulate them on their achievements in creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.'
