Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce that Ryan Vines has joined the firm as an associate focusing his practice on commercial finance matters and real estate.

"We are delighted to welcome Ryan to Shipman," said co-chair of the Finance Department and leader of the Commercial Finance team, Scott Gerard. "His experience with complex real estate and finance transactions will further enhance our capability to provide high-level, value-driven counseling for our clients."

Ryan represents national and community banks and other lending institutions in lending transactions. In addition, he represents developers and other real estate owners in a wide range of real estate transactions. Ryan provides counsel to lenders with respect to the origination, syndication and participation of asset-based loans as well as real estate loans across a variety of asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, retail, healthcare, hotel and office. He also represents borrowers in mortgage loans and other financings and also works with clients on the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of commercial, mixed-use and multi-family residential properties.

Prior to joining Shipman, Ryan was an associate in the New York office of a large international firm. During law school, he was the Editor in Chief of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.
