We are proud to announce that Marni Pernica was named the recipient of the 2023 Hoffstein Book Prize at the Ontario Bar Association's Trust and Estates Section's Annual Year-End Dinner. The Hoffstein Book Prize was created to recognize the contributions and/or achievements of members of the OBA with less than 15 years of practice to the area of wills, trusts and estates. The recipient demonstrates leadership in the trusts and estates bar through knowledge, experience, skill, commitment, passion and strength of character.
As Partner at the firm and Co-Practice Group Leader of the Tax Group and Estates & Trusts Group, Marni works closely with her clients to provide them with practical, thoughtful advice regarding their estate plan. Clients appreciate Marni's strong relationship-building skills and reputation as a thought-leader, and trust her because they are comfortable confiding in her and confident in her ability to advise them effectively.
Marni is involved with multiple professional organizations, including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Canadian Tax Foundation and the OBA Trusts and Estates Section. She also sits on the professional advisory committees of the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and Jewish National Fund.
