On February 1, 2023, Appleby College completed the acquisition of Camp Kandalore, one of Canada's premier overnight camp and canoe out-tripping programs.
Founded in 1947 on Lake Kabakawa in the Algonquin Highlands, Camp Kandalore has garnered a reputation for offering a world-class canoeing and canoe tripping program, as well as a well-established in-camp and outdoor educational experience.
The acquisition of Camp Kandalore will enhance Appleby College's long-standing outdoor education program which includes 50-years of experiential learning at the school's 11-acre S. Bruce McLaughlin Northern Campus on Rabbitnose Island in Temagami.
