Enel Generación Chile Sells 42,5% Of Its Stake In Electrogas

Portuguese utilities company REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais has hired Chilean firm Prieto to purchase a 42.5% stake in Chilean oil and natural gas transporter Electrogás.

REN bought the share from Enel Generación Chile, part of the Italian Enel group. The seller hired Careyfor the US$180 million deal.

The sale closed on 7 February. Electrogás runs a network of 165.6 kilometres of pipelines in Chile.
