Ukraine-based BitTorrent tracker Demonoid has allegedly been shut down following the order of International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

The United States government has mentioned the website in its annual review of "notorious markets". According to the report, it was one of the world's best known online places for offering pirated goods, ranked among the top 600 websites in global traffic and top 300 in U.S. traffic.
