On 5 September 2019, the CSSF published a Press Release in order to remind the industry that a number of requests to the CSSF will be progressively digitalised and will henceforth have to be made exclusively via the new eDesk portal.

All institutions, firms and persons concerned who wish to communicate with the CSSF through this portal are invited by the CSSF to create one or more eDesk accounts. An "Authentication and user account management" guide is available on the CSSF eDesk portal homepage.

Only a limited number of documents and forms are currently available on eDesk; however, the CSSF also indicated in its Press Release that the eDesk application for new UCI approvals (UCITS, UCI Part II, SIF and SICAR) would be made available via the eDesk portal on 1 October 2019.

During a transitional period ending on 31 October 2019, it will still be possible to submit a request for a UCI approval:

  • via email or secured e-file channels using the current Excel dedicated form; or
  • via the eDesk dedicated application.

As from 1 November 2019, the only possible communication channel will be eDesk.

To support this change, the CSSF is organising information sessions on the eDesk application for UCI approvals. All information regarding these sessions can be found in the Press Release.

Elvinger Hoss participated in the CSSF's eDesk pilot scheme during the implementation phase of the eDesk platform enabling us to familiarise ourselves with eDesk. We have created all necessary eDesk accounts and are therefore well prepared to continue filing applications with the CSSF on behalf of our clients without any disruption.
