PREFACE

We have prepared this Securities and Investment Business Act Compendium as a service to our clients. The principal statute is the Securities and Investment Business Act, 2010 as amended.

The most recent legislative amendments to the principal act and subsidiary legislation include the Securities and Investment Business (Amendment) 2015, in force on 1 June 2015 and the Financial Services Commission (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 which revoke and replace the Securities and Investment (Fees) Regulations 2010 and the Securities and Investment Business (Incubator and Approved Funds) Regulations, 2015 in force 1 June 2015.

The following related laws, regulations and guidance notes as amended are also included in this compendium:

Mutual Funds Regulations, 2010

Investment Business (Approved Managers) Regulations, 2012

Approved Investment Managers Guidelines

Investment Business (Registers) Regulations, 2014

Securities and Investment Business (Incubator and Approved Funds) Regulations, 2015

Financial Services (Fees) Regulations, 2010

Securities and Investment Business (Recognised Jurisdictions) Notice, 2010

Public Funds Code, 2010

While every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, and it is believed that the only errors in this reprint are those contained in the statutes themselves (which errors have been faithfully reproduced), no responsibility is assumed for the content and reference is made to the original for an authoritative statement of the law.
