Resolution No. 273 of the NBU Board dated 09.06.2010, "On amendments to certain regulatory acts of the National Bank of Ukraine" ("Resolution 273").

Resolution 273 has changed the amount of minimum regulatory capital of banks from 10 million Euros to 120 million hryvnias. This change must be implemented by 01.01.2012. Banks having regulatory capital lower than UAH 120 million, until they have brought their regulatory capital into compliance with the requirements of the Regulations, may only accept deposits from physical persons (i.e. open new deposit accounts for physical persons and increase the amount of existing deposits) within the amount of deposits from physical persons existing on the effective date of Resolution 273.
