East End residents, as well as persons in neighbouring Eastern districts, involved with charitable organisations have an opportunity to learn about The Non-Profit Organisation Law.

The Ministry of Financial Services is hosting a two-hour information session on Monday, 12 March, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the East End United Church Hall.

This discussion will focus on organisations that solicit funds from the public for charitable causes – such as churches, sports clubs and humanitarian groups. Charities have certain responsibilities under the law, and gain distinct benefits from registering to be a non-profit organisation.

For more information, persons are asked to contact General Registry's Head of Compliance Paul Inniss at paul.inniss@gov.ky.
