Recently published revisions to BC Instrument 13-502 Electronic Filing of Reports of Exempt Distribution (BCI 13-502) and its companion policy now require all reports of exempt distribution (Form 45-106F1), including those filed on an annual basis by investment funds, to be filed in the British Columbia Securities Commission’s (BCSC) eServices electronic filing system (eServices).  Previously, reports filed on an annual basis by investment funds were not required to be filed in eServices and were permitted to be filed in paper format.

Investment funds filing an annual report may continue to pay the related filing fee by cheque at the time the filing is made, notwithstanding that all other fees payable to the BCSC in connection with the filing of a Form 45-106F1 are required to be paid by electronic funds transfer or credit card.

All of the other requirements in BCI 13-502 continue to remain in place.
