To improve the digitalization of its patent document collection, the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) has published in the Industrial Property Gazette two lists of pending patent applications that should be filed again on-line on a voluntarily basis and without costs (official fees) for the applicants.

The upload of the scanned documents can be done through an online tool already developed for the INPI patent search system (Busca Web).

The copies of the documents to be uploaded in the system must be identical to those originally filed at INPI.

According to INPI, only the agents that originally filed the patent applications can proceed with the online re-submission of files.

Please click here and here to check the lists of patent applications published in the Industrial Property Gazette.
