On August 26, 2019, two notices of public hearings of the Brazilian National Agency of Waterway Transportation (ANTAQ) were published.

  • Public Hearing No. 07/2019 will be held on September 25, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium of ANTAQ's headquarters. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain comments on the proposal to amend Normative Resolution No. 01-ANTAQ/2015, with respect to the charter requirements for foreign vessels performing subsea construction activities. 

    Comments can be sent electronically to ANTAQ from August 29, 2019, through October 14, 2019. 

  • Public Hearing No. 08/2019 will be held on October 1, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium of ANTAQ's headquarters. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain comments on the proposal of a normative resolution to regulate the preparation of the simplified version of the preliminary studies of the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of the lease or concession of ports and port facilities within the area of organized port, in competitive bid proceedings for engineering works and services when the contract value is less than 100 times the amount of BRL 1.5 million.

    Comments can be sent electronically to ANTAQ from September 02, 2019, through October 16, 2019.
